The unit features a professional bowl lift design to raise and secure the bowl while using any professional or commercial style KitchenAid attachment. I do like the mixer. It is very quiet and reliable. It is my fourth Kitchenaid mixer. I have a six quart also and use them both at the same time to double my output as I have a home based cookie business. The one disappointment I have with it is that it really doesn't mix much more in one batch than the six quart. It says it can mix up to 16 cups of flour but it cannot come close to that when you have the butter, sugar, and eggs in the mix also. With all the ingredients the most I've been able to mix is about 11 cups of ingredients. I think that is not very accurate advertising!

Our staff seem to fight over what recipe who will make. so they can get a chance to use this. Lots of power and sounds like all of the gears are working well. Not all vibrating like our last machine.

I have owned and used extensively the KitchenAid Pro 6 qt. stand mixer for 12-15 years with no complaints. Unfortunately, the planetary gear fell off while mixing and I was afraid to trust it for cookies and bread. So I was on the "hunt". I had dreamt about the 7 qt. since I first saw it but couldn't justify the cost when mine was working perfectly. Even now, the cost was prohibitive everywhere else I looked. Then by chance, I found The WEBstuarant site and found my dream machine at a price I could afford. It arrived today and I can't tell you how happy & excited I am to have this beautiful machine on my counter! I ordered Monday and received today...Wednesday. The customer service lady I talked to on Monday for help with a glitch in my ordering (my error) was wonderful and helpful and the quick delivery of the mixer was great! I will be back to review the mixer after I have used it eventhough I know without even turning it on that I'll LOVE it.
