Overall User Rating: KitchenAid KFP0711CU Contour Silver 7 Cup Food Processor ( 5.0 stars from 1 review )
The KitchenAide processor is well built and nicely designed. The slicing blade dials to create the thickness of the cut... how cool is that? And, there are two shredding sizes - perfect! If you want to emulsify something (mayo) by adding a liquid slowly, there is a convenient tiny hole in the bottom of the 'food pusher'. The stainless blade quality and heft is second to none. If you own a KitchenAide stand mixer, you know what I'm talking about - it's the gold standard for consumer mixers. This processor is built just as well. The panel buttons (off/low/high/pulse) are flush with the unit so there is no place for food or junk to get stuck - it's an easy wipe to clean thoroughly. You will NOT be disappointed in this unit. Please totally disregard the negative reviews unless you cannot screw a cover on a jar. The 7 cup size is perfect for a family of four. Get the 9 or 13 if you do a lot of processing or canning. Oh, the 7 and 9 cup units (bases/motor) are identical except for the bowl size. Both bowls fit interchangeably so just order the bigger bowl/blades and you'll have one processor that can handle smaller and larger jobs.
