The Japanese Nakiri knife is Japan's traditional vegetable cleaver. Excellent for cubing meat or chopping vegetables, it can also be used for thin slicing. The Nakiri's edge is designed to use a firm forward thrust. This Japanese Nakiri knife features a high-carbon stainless steel blade with Molybdenum Vanadium for durability, a POM handle for safe, non-slip grip, and is dishwasher-safe for easy cleanup.

    Japanese Nakiri Knife with POM Handle

    I bought this as a replacement for a cheap, stamped, serrated, chef's knife from a boxed set. For $11 you get a decent knife. This isn't a knife you would pass on to your kids or grand-kids, but it does the job. Sharp edge, no serrations. I use this with vegetables, and it does great, I haven't had a chance to use it with meat. All in all, it works quite well.
