Panini Grill Buying Guide
The Panini Grill is a grilling press designed for special panini bread sandwiches. It can also be used to grill meat, fish, vegetables
and sausages. Other uses include burgers, hot dogs and cuban sandwiches.
You will notice that there are a variety of grilling surfaces on our selection of panini grills. Some panini grills have grooved grilling
surfaces and others are smooth. There are even a few models that have a combination of the two; one grooved surface and one smooth one. How
do you choose between them? Simply put, if you want grill marks on your food, go with a grooved griddle surface. If you do not want grill
marks, select one that has a smooth griddle surface.
Another item of consideration is the type of metal that the grilling surfaces are made of. Our panini grills have either aluminum or iron
grilling surfaces. Each type of metal has it's own advantages and disadvatages. Aluminum grilling surfaces have the advantage of heating up
quickly. Iron grilling surfaces take longer to heat up, but they will retain heat for a longer period of time than aluminum. Therefore,
aluminum would be the best choice if you anticipate sporadic, low volume use of your panini grill. Iron would be the better choice for high
volume, continuous usage.
