Customer questions about this product
- Is this honey raw?
- No it is not raw. Raw honey has not been heated or filtered after it has been extracted from the hive.
Dark and bold, this Dutch Gold buckwheat honey is a rich, all-natural sweetener fresh from the white blossoms of the buckwheat grain. The unique flavor of each variety of Dutch Gold honey comes from the type of nectar collected by the honey bees and is bottled free from additives and preservatives. Typically compared to blackstrap molasses, this buckwheat honey has an earthy aroma and heartier flavor than other honeys. Boasting high levels of antioxidants, it makes a healthy addition to any recipe and is known to help soothe a cough.
Use this full-bodied honey for baking genuine honey cake, or let it cascade over pancakes, and enrich lackluster BBQ sauces. The robust flavor and velvety texture of this honey is perfect for marinating steaks and chicken as well as baking into hearty whole-wheat breads. It is available in an accessible, easy-grip plastic container with a resealable cap to keep the product fresh.
Dutch Gold Honey is a trusted brand dedicated to delivering pure and all-natural honeys. I enjoyed this honey. It had a stronger honey flavor but that was what i was looking for with a buckwheat honey. It lasted a long time and held up well and did not turn to sugar.

The Dutch Gold 5 lb. Buckwheat Honey from Webstaurant store is the best price we've seen for this type and quality of honey, period. Great value.

This honey is delicious and earthy. The Dutch Gold quality is pretty solid. I am using this to make a small batch of mead, and so far it seems like it is coming along nicely. I can't wait to see the finished product.

First, this honey is unfiltered and has a wonderfully bold flavor that we enjoy. Five pounds of honey is not as you may expect. Measuring by weight seems unusual to us.

This honey is fantastic! I was looking for a sweetener because I recently switched my diet from a Standard American Diet (SAD) to a Simple carbohydrate Diet (SCD) and I now use honey to sweeten my food instead of processed sugars. This honey is just the right taste for me, it's strong and leaves a molasses after taste. I put it on my burgers, onions, mushrooms, green beans, peppers, coconut oil, butter, and olive oil, and mixture taste soo good. I can testify that this is nothing but honey because if it wasn't I would be in pain on the floor. Buy it you won't regret.

Buckwheat honey -- granted, it has a distinct taste, but that's what makes it good. My family always preferred this honey to any other, and for this price it cannot be beat. It definitely brought back childhood memories. Note -- the taste would definitely impact your drinks -- so if you plan to use it to sweeten your tea or coffee -- you might not like the aftertaste.

Buckwheat honey has a faint smell to it (which is apparently normal) and is less sweet than regular honey but with a richer, bolder taste. It's especially good in yogurt. It's pricey because of its antioxidants and cold curing properties, but I found Webstaurantstore price to be pretty low.

this buckwheat honey is a must for anyone that loves honey, the flavor is cream of the crop, easy pour container makes serving a breeze

This buckwheat honey is a very good value. The local price in my area for buckwheat is expensive for 1-pound of buckwheat honey. This 5-pound package costs almost twice less for what I paid for it before, and the big size bottle lasts for a long time.
