Customer questions about this product

Can this induction range handle any pan capacity?
Most induction ranges do not have specified weight or pan capacities. The key to ensuring your range works properly and does not get damaged by too much weight is to use a pan with a bottom diameter that does not exceed the burner's diameter. Using a larger pan will lessen the effectiveness of the range and the quality of your food.
Ask your own question!

This IC-1800WN single burner countertop induction range is safer and heats faster than traditional countertop ranges, making it ideal for your busy restaurant kitchen, display cooking, or omelet stations! The countertop induction cooktop actually recognizes the circumference of the pot or pan placed on it, and only heats within that area for maximum heat efficiency. An induction ready pan with a bottom diameter ranging from 4 5/8" to 10 1/4" will work with this induction cooktop.

A durable stainless steel housing and ceramic top are easy to clean. Convenient touchscreen controls allow you to select from 17 temperature settings ranging from 140 - 460 degrees Fahrenheit or choose between 7 power settings (500 - 1800W). Also included is a built-in 120 minute timer that allows you to keep track of your food. This commercial countertop induction range should only be used with induction-ready cookware, which must be a magnetic metal, such as steel, iron or nickel. This countertop induction range requires a 120V electrical connection, and has an output of 1800W.

Induction Cooker unit cooking pot setting range burner pressure top

We love using these cookers. They can easily be moved around the kitchen. Relatively inexpensive and very realible. It takes a little time to get used to the settings and temperature that works for you. We use them every day for pasta sauces. They are on from anywhere between 2 and 10 hours. I have had to replace them after about a year of continuous use.

Very powerful and easy to use but I'm disappointed that only the small center ring come on. The outer ring is only for decoration and I needed an induction burner that can reach the outer edges of a large sauté pan. Even though this advertises that you can use pots up to 10-11" it is not correct. This is fine if you want to use it for small diameter pots or pans. Because of this - I do not believe this is good value.

Thank you for your review! We're sorry to hear your induction cooker isn't working out for you. According to the manufacturer, even though the cooking surface is 11" in diameter, it works best with pans 9" in diameter.

Good unit. Use on at another buisness and it performed well. Great cost and durable. Works well with induction pans offered on this site. Would buy again.

This induction cooktop is awesome! I use it mostly for pastry needs. I make caramel, simple syrups, pastry cream etc. I do not have a cooktop, so this works perfectly.

Some establishments don't allow open flame cooking in the dining room and this induction burner solves that problem. It heats up very fast and is good for a variety of sizes of pots and pans.

This induction burner is fabulous!! A real lifesaver when there's no room for a stove in our bakery. We use it to saute, boil sugar/isomalt, etc. Would definitely recommend.

We went thru 2 one eye burners before we bought this. This has worked great we use it every day you don't have the extra heat that the one eye burners produce. We will purchase this again soon.

this little counter top cooker is amazing. I expected a cheap appliance that might work ok, but I was pleasantly surprised. It does require induction cookware because it actually senses if there is a piece of cookware on the top, otherwise it will not heat, a nice safety option.

There is a big range in price and quality of these induction burners. We went cheap for a temporary project, but they had major hot spots. I'd spend more next time.

My only problem with this product is that it is difficult to find a pot that can be used on it surface. however it heats the soup we sell very quickly.

After reading many reviews on Induction Cookers, I chose this one A. Because of power, B. Because of price, and C. Because of it being sold by a Restaurant supply store. The unit is very attractive, solid to the touch, and materials seem to be of very high quality. The upfront digital control panel is very user friendly, and has the touch and feel of quality. The ceramic cook top will comfortably accommodate my Presto 6 qt pressure cooker down to the little 5 in. sauce pan I use to melt butter in. The unit is whisper quiet when operating, there is no buzzing sounds that I have read about in other units to include Major Brand Cook tops and Ranges. A couple of test I ran show the Cooker to be of a 10 Star rating. Using my electric range, large burner which used 2,800 Watts of power, using the 6 qt pressure cooker with 3 cups of cold water, it took the range 4 min. and 14 sec, to bring the pressure cooker up to full pressure. When the Induction cooker arrived I preformed the same test. The Induction Cooker at 1,800 Watts only took 3 min. 33 sec. to bring the pressure cooker up to full pressure. I am not a mathematician but I know somewhere in there is a savings. The next test was to see how cool the burner ran at the full 1,800 watts, so I placed a strip of plain white paper on the burner and repeated the first test. The paper remained as is, not a spot. When High Fidelity sound was invented I was very impressed. This Induction Cooker has impressed me even more than HiFi. I would recommend this unit to anyone, and everyone.

Second unit-second review: After a month of testing I made the decision that Induction Cooking was the only way to fly and ordered a second unit. With limited space in my kitchen it was necessary to make a modification to my electric range to accommodate the 2 Induction Cookers, this was done by ordering a custom cut cutting-board to place on top of the range after removing the 4 burners (see photo). If you are a fan of fried foods as I am you'll love using the Induction Cooker. With the choice of using power setting from Temp or Watt setting it is possible achieve almost any desired cooking level. I said almost as when cooking that large pot of spaghetti sauce all day I was unable to find a setting that would simmer at a very low boil. I found a solution to this by placing 2 large CorningWare dinner plates on top of the Induction cooker and then placing the pot on the plates (see photo) This produced the perfect low simmer, also works great when doing a pot of bean soup. Fried foods come out perfectly using a setting of 212º, After bringing water to a boil on hi setting, pasta cooks well at 800 watt setting. That perfect pot of rice is achieved by using 2 ½ cups of water to 1 cup of rice. Bring water to a boil on hi setting, when water comes to a boil reduce heat to 212º and add rice then reduce heat again to 176º and place the lid on the pot, then set the timer for 20min. At the end of the cycle restart the cooker and lower the temp to 146º and set the timer for an additional 10min. At the end of the cycle, bingo you have the perfect pot of rice. I find the Induction cooker very versatile and a want to have item for every kitchen. As stated in my previous review the unit is very well made, very attractive, and blends in well in any decor. Recommended cookware is Stainless Steel with encapsulated aluminum bottoms, up to 11 inches. Cast Iron will work but heat distribution is not as good as the Stainless Steel, the same for Carbon Steel cookware, a diameter of 8 inches or less will work. After over a month of cooking on the Induction Cooker I have all pro's and no con's. Good Cooking

Very nice. Price is definitely right for an 1800 watt machine. I'm buying my second one today! I haven't used it yet, but I need at least two and this seems like it will be awesome.
