Customer questions about this product
- What's the difference between a riveted and a welded handle?
- A riveted handle is connected by small metal pieces (called rivets) that are crushed between the handle and the pan body to attach them together. This type of handle is more common on copper and aluminum cookware.
For a handle to be welded, the metal must first be melted and then adhered to the pan body. This creates a strong bond that leaves little to no space in between, so bacteria and other food crumbs can’t collect and cause sanitation issues. Both are long lasting solutions for fry and sauce pan handles because they are durable and can withstand heat.
This Carlisle 601031 pasta strainer basket will not rust and features cool-touch handles to prevent scorched hands. This basket is perfect for small batch cooking or frying. The pasta strainer basket is to be used with a fry pot that has a hook for the basket to catch on. The hook on this fry pot will allow the pasta strainer basket to stay in place.

Good sturdy product, it was a little larger than I needed wont fit in standard pots but that was my fault. Great for straining chicken stock.

Nice strainer, haven't given it much use yet, but it seems like it's a solid addition to the kitchen. Handle is nice and comfortable and mesh seems to be durable.

This pasta strainer basket makes it so much more faster, easier and efficient. This doesn't even have to be just for pasta, I had used it on blanching veggies

Strainer is very durable. The plastic handle that normally melts of in a short period of time is still going strong. It gets a lot use and abuse and is still in good shape.

This perfect for an Italian restaurant that serves a lot of pasta dishes. The strainer basket will fit most sauce pans and the pasta won't stick.

these are ideal for restaurants that serve pasta but not so much as to require the large sectioned pasta pot. They last a really long time too! worth the money.

I got this for about a year, and this is one of the best item i ever bought. the price is a bit high but it's still the lowest price at this store compares to all the others. I love it

I bought this 3 years ago and it is still kickin'! No rust to worry about, the handle is in great shape and the metal wires are still in good shape. I use it about 4-6 times a week. I would recommend that the ends of the wires, around the frame, get soldered to make it last longer.
