Purchased mainly for the price. Chose to order these versus plastic due to the look (more attractive) and even looks environmentally friendly. Will order again.

Biodegradable silverware is such a fantastic idea! I recently used these for a 120 guest wedding. I'd used a similar product before and thought these would be comparable in quality. Here are the pros: (1) the design is attractive, (2) the forks are sturdy and none of the guests reported any breakage. Here is the con: (1)splinters! I had at least 4 guests report getting splinters from the forks. When I rubbed the handle of a few of them to check it out, I did pick up a splinter myself. I'm not sure if that's standard for this type of product. The other brand I'd previously bought had a very noticeable coating on them, so they were very smooth. I will probably buy these again just to see if I got a bad batch the first time. But, if I get more splinters, I'll have to stick with another product.
