When your business involves high volume pizza sales, turn to this Bakers Pride Y-802 Super Deck Y Series gas double deck pizza oven. Its easy-to-clean heavy-gauge, type 403 stainless steel exterior is fully insulated for cooler outer temperatures and consistent interior temperatures.
Using 240,000 BTU of natural or LP gas, this unit easily cooks your foods between 300 and 650 degrees Fahrenheit within its high-heat resistant 16-gauge aluminized steel interior. Each of its four doors are fully insulated and spring balanced with tubular steel handles for easy open/close.
This unit is designed with an 8" interior deck height with 1 1/2" thick hearth baking decks. Its interior oven frame is constructed of a fully-welded 1/4" angle iron frame.
The Bakers Pride Y-802 single deck pizza oven uses a combination gas control that incorporates a manual gas valve, pilot safety, and pressure regulator. Its easily removable, slide-out heavy-duty flame diverters distribute the burner flame uniformly in the burner chamber.
For unbeatable cooking results, this Bakers Pride Y-802 features independent top and bottom heat control dampers and micro slides. Choose fuel type.

These big boys have totally changed our operation for the better, but they have a couple of major design flaws that have made the last year of use quite difficult at times. First the good: They hold temp really well considering how often we are in and out of the oven, and have enough space for us to keep cranking out 20" pizzas. The hearth deck cooks pretty evenly and the hot spots aren't as bad as in other ovens that we've cooked with (I have never used a deck oven without them). I also like the "pilot only" option so we can save a little gas when they are not in use. The bad: The insulation is pretty bad. Don't touch the sides or front of the oven on accident or you'll get a minor burn - certainly give the oven 4 feet on any side for safe passage! The worst however is that the doors and door handles fall off! Repeatedly! First, the door handles are very poorly welded on the doors and have ripped off no less than 3 times this past year. Because they are welded instead of screwed in from the inside of the door Bakers Pride has to replace the entire door in order to fix the handle. Too bad the process of getting a new door takes six to eight weeks! The process goes like this: Step 1 - call their authorized repair company and wait a day or 3 for them to show, step 2 wait a week for the repair company to order the part, step 3 wait four weeks while Bakers Pride manufactures a new door, step 4 wait two weeks for shipping, step 5 wait five to seven days for the repair company to come install new door. Don't waste your time calling Bakers Pride, they will send you to some official oven guy, Bob, that will act like he cares a lot, but won't actually do anything to speed up the process, or even care WHY the issue keeps happening. Secondly, the spring loaded hinges are in a place where they contact the edge of the body sheet metal, meaning that, after a few months of use the sheet metal actually cuts through the hinge and the door literally falls off the hinges. This process will also take 6-8 weeks to repair, and if you don't force the "Bakers Pride preferred" repair company to grudgingly weld you a custom door hinge in the meantime they will suggest that you go without your oven until the part comes in. Without the spring hinge (while you wait for repair) It's super scary to have 500 degree door that can pop open and crush/burn you at the same time. This also happened to us 3 times since January 2013, and is a lot worse than the missing handle (which you can make your own out some plumping pipe, flanges, and self tapping screws that actually work better than the welded ones!). In eleven months with the ovens (double stack) we have had maybe 60 days of "normal" use without a missing or damaged door. Thank god for the 2 year warranty, I just hope the door issue is fixed before they officially don't have to care anymore.
