Many gas equipment manufacturers need to make adjustments to the equipment so it operates correctly at elevations over 2,000 feet. Sometimes we can special order from the manufacturer and have your cooking equipment delivered ready-to-go, but in other cases, you’ll need to have a qualified service technician come to your location and alter your unit at the time of installation so that it is compatible with a higher elevation. How to Boil-Out a Deep Fryer

Watch this video to learn how to perform a boil-out to keep your fryer clean! Complete the procedure frequently to save your business valuable time and money.

As oil prices continue to rise, it's important to take advantage of products that allow you to use less oil. But if you don't properly clean your fryer beforehand, it’s like throwing all that money down the drain! You should always start your fryer oil stabilizer regimen with a clean fryer that’s been boiled out to make sure all dirt and debris has been removed. Otherwise, you may have proteins, polar contaminants, and other matter that will start to contaminate the new oil immediately when added. That will break down the oil quicker, leaving you to change the oil more frequently and ultimately costing you more time and money! This video will show you the proper steps to ensure that your fryer is ready for use by using Noble Chemical Tempest Deep Fat Fryer Cleaner, a high temp fryer brush, and a fryer clean out rod. I will also show you how to safely discard your used oil once you have determined it is no longer usable. Noble Chemical Tempest Deep Fat Fryer Cleaner is easy to use and thoroughly eliminates all encrusted grease and grime. Just follow these simple steps! Drain all grease from the fryer and safely discard grease using an oil caddy and an approved used oil discard container. Use the fryer clean out rod to clean any remaining debris out of the drain line. Rinse the fryer with hot water to remove excess, un-drained fat. For a fryer holding approximately 30 lbs. of fats or oils, fill with cool water to within 3 to 4 inches of the top. Add 8 ounces of Tempest to the cold water. Boil slowly for 20 minutes. Use proportionately, using more or less depending upon the size of the fryer. After termination of boiling, allow the fryer to drain slowly and use a long handled, heavy duty brush to clean the sides, top, heating elements, and other parts of the fryer. This is a fairly common occurrence in busy commercial kitchens, particularly in high traffic areas or near frequently used doors. Follow these step-by-step instructions to learn how to relight a pilot light on some of the most common pieces of commercial kitchen equipment. As always, be sure to consult your owner's manual to ensure that you're using the manufacturer's instructions when preforming any type of maintenance on your equipment. If at any time you suspect that there is a gas leak in your facility or if you smell a very strong gas odor, call your gas provider immediately. Do not attempt to light a flame or turn on an electric switch until the problem is addressed. To light a range: Light the pilot with a lighter. To light an oven: Hold down the reset button and press the igniter a few times. To light a fryer: Turn the knob to pilot, press and hold the knob, and light the pilot. Continue to hold the knob for 30 seconds and then turn the knob to "on".

    One of my 3 fryers started shooting fire from the exhaust, luckily the Rest. didn't catch on fire. Called 866-417-6140. Sent a tech, took pics, manufacturer in china needs to make a decision? Been a week! Stay away from this fryer. Buy USA made product! Will add Video later.

    Bought 2 Avantco fryers in June 2014. Both of them have had issues - most recently one has been down for over a month because the parts are not available. We are high volume and have been working with our local repair company to get a "crash package" for these fryers. They have been trying for weeks to get a package in stock. Fryers don't have many moving parts so in theory you don't have a of risk that things will go wrong - not in this case. I would spend the additional money to get a Dean or other reliable name brand when purchasing again. We have had Deans that lasted 7 or 8 years under 12 x 7 constant use. The service calls are expensive plus the parts plus the down time = no good.

    These fryers are great little workhorses. We fry a tremendous amount of chicken and fish in our buffet restaurant and these Avantco fryers never miss a bit. They may not last quite as long as the more expensive fryers, but their very low price point makes replacing them much less painful. Highly recommended.

    We purchased this fryer for our church. Our congregation has about 650-700 members and we have a lot of functions that require the preparation of food for large groups. This fryer serves that purpose well. I strongly recommend this deep fryer when you have to prepare food for large groups and small groups as well because you can use just one of the baskets.

    No durability, bought in July 2013 and controller went out (part plus labor to install). We have two other fryers (Dean) that is twice the age of this one. Of course warranty only good for 1 year.

    Good light duty fryer. It can get overwhelmed if doing a lot back to back. Fries and tenders take longer than a more heavy duty fryer. If you have multiple fryers I would recommend this one. If this will be your only fryer and you do high volume get a more heavy duty one.

    This fryer is great on the line and the temperature is very accurate to the dial setting. Most fryers lose their calibration. This one has lasted us 3 years. Great buy.
