This is a nice little inexpensive tool for easily checking the doneness of baked goods without damaging the product. It is a great tool to cook with too.

One of the SINGLE most important tools in our bakery! The tester is nice and long to check doneness in our jumbo cupcakes and muffins.

This is one of the basic supplies in a kithen you will reach for again and again! A simple, accurate way to determine the doneness of baked goods, and better than a toothpick because of it's nice long legnth that gets right to the center of larger, higher cakes. I like to include one or two of these in a new cook's gift, or buy a bunch for a cute favor at a shower or housewarming. Ateco is a quality company, and this is a quality product!

This is perfect for making sure your cakes and other baked goods are cooked. Just slide it into the cake and see if there's any stuff that comes out.

I love this little tool. I constantly leave it in my sleeve and when I do need to check on meats, seafood or vegetables I take it out and test it with this handy device.

reusable and durable. the length is long enough to poke it deep into the middle part of the cake and the price is cheap enough to buy to stock up

I never thought I would recommend buying a cake tester but this one works very well. We use this on a daily basis and though it takes some getting used too, it works very well!

Our resident baker says that it doesn't work as well as a good old knife. It also is rather easy to misplace--though its small size is indeed one of its benefits.

Great product takes the guess work out of baking cakes. I would recomend this for anyone who bakes cakes. Great value and you can not even see the hole its so small.

Bought this in 2010 and it is still going strong. I use this every Sunday after baking to test my cakes. So its done its job. Another Great Product!

This is a pretty neat product to have around the kitchen or bake shop. its a lot better to use one of these than just a tooth pick or something else. it leaves a very tiny hole.

I bake very often and this works better than any toothpick. I love, love, love, this. It's inexpensive but works very well. It's better to order more than 1 since I keep losing mine.

When baking cupcakes, you can never have enough cake testers. This works well, I just wish the top was not so flat, sometimes it's hard to pick up with potholders!

A fantastic little tool for cake baking! I had used everything from toothpicks, to chopsticks to even a butter knife to check the doneness of my cupcakes. This was such a great purchase, I recommend.

Great little tool that is perfect for testing all sorts of baked goods. Great for the ones that are very delicate and can sometimes get destroyed when poked with a knife or fork!

Neatest little gadget to have in your kitchen drawer to test cakes, etc. For so long I used the tip of a steak knife and that is overkill--this item is needle thin and works the best. Patricia, Front Royal, VA

This is a really handy little tool that anyone can afford to have in their kitchen. Skewers and tooth picks leave a big hole in my cakes. This leaves an almost unnoticeable hole. And it's easier to "read" than a toothpick. It's really clear when it's wet, holding a crumb, or dry. And the shipping is so fast!

Have used this cake tester many times. I like the fact that the blue handle is east to hold on to so you don't drop it like some other skinny cake testers. I wish the lead point would be a little longer; but for the price, a must need instrument for any baker.
