What is White Glove service?

Standard common carrier delivery options cover the cost of getting an item to your shipping address but our White Glove delivery service does that and more!

The White Glove agent will call to schedule a delivery appointment within a four hour window, which gives you the flexibility to work around your busy schedule and to prepare the space where your item will be placed. Upon delivery, trained professionals will unload your item from the truck, bring it into the room of choice, unpack the item and remove all packaging debris from the premises.

Please note that White Glove delivery will typically add 5 - 7 business days to your order's transit, and only includes 30 minutes of on-site time. If on-site time beyond 30 minutes is required, you may be responsible for additional fees. Additionally, this service does not include set-up of the items being delivered.

How To Season A Charbroiler

Getting your brand new charbroiler cleaned, seasoned, and ready to use is easy! A properly seasoned charbroiler will produce better tasting food. Plus, it will last longer, resist rusting better, and be easier to clean. Follow these easy steps to season your charbroiler. After you’ve uncrated your charbroiler and hooked it up, it’s a good idea to wash the exterior with a mild detergent. Next, light all the burners and leave them at the maximum setting for 30 minutes. This will burn off any oils, dust, or protective coatings from the shipping and manufacturing processes. After the grates have cooled completely, you’ll want to season them to prevent sticking. First, coat the grates with a high-heat cooking spray or oil like Canola oil. It’s a good idea to wipe them with a paper towel or cloth to make sure you have them covered evenly. Next, turn all your burners on high and leave them on for 30 minutes or until your charbroiler stops smoking. Turn off the burners and let the unit cool off. Now your charbroiler is seasoned and ready to use!

APW's new product line, Champion Cookline, is perfect for any user from a restaurant to a school to a convenience store to a deli to even a country club or fast food. Our line features both radiant and char rock charbroilers as well as thermostatically controlled electric and gas griddles as well as a manual gas griddle. We also offer hot plates, step up hotplates, electric hotplates, cheesemelters, and a whole line of induction products. The three most important features to our product line are power, control, and safety. When we discuss power, we use BTUs as a measurement, and we measure at 25% more than our competition, which allows quicker heat up and faster recovery. Our second major feature is control. On our charbroilers, for instance, we use a top grate that has two levels for greater control of cooking. We utilize large, oversized knobs on the front—stainless steel knobs with set screws—and a visual port in the front so you can see and light the pilot light. Our third major feature is safety. We use a double wall construction fire box on our charbroilers, which allow for a greater temperature, which keeps the controls cool to the touch. We also have bull nose fronts, which allow cool to the touch for the operator's hands. What makes Champion Cookline even better is our clean, professional stainless steel front, our 2" heavy duty stainless steel legs, all of our units are field convertible from natural to LP, as well as a 2 year parts and labor warranty.

My business is at a high elevation; does this change anything when I order gas cooking equipment?
Many gas equipment manufacturers need to make adjustments to the equipment so it operates correctly at elevations over 2,000 feet. Sometimes we can special order from the manufacturer and have your cooking equipment delivered ready-to-go, but in other cases, you’ll need to have a qualified service technician come to your location and alter your unit at the time of installation so that it is compatible with a higher elevation. Contact our Special Orders team prior to placing your order, and we will let you know what will work best for the equipment you are planning to purchase.
Why are my lava rocks smoking so much?
Grease from the food you cook on your charbroiler drips through the grates and onto the lava rocks in the bottom of your unit. This grease builds up over time and may eventually cause your lava rocks to smoke. You can prevent this by flipping your lava rocks every day before using your charbroiler.
