this brush is just the right size for brushing crumbs off the cakes before icing and it washes up nice too, I like the fact that it is natural and not synthetic..

What can I say these are the old stand by when it comes to a pastry brush. I use mine primarily for washes or oils. I will be buying this again in the future.

Worked great for 2-3 years. The handle and brush now separate but can easily be fixed so no big deal. Good utility brush, we use with butter/oils.

This 2" boar bristle pastry brush is very well made. The bristles don't fall out and the wooden handle is very strong. Hand wash though due to it being wood. I use these for all my pastries in my bakery.

This is a good, general, all-purpose pastry brush. I mainly use if for moistening breads, and it works well. I would recommend this product for general use.

this little pastry brush is more than a pastry brush in my kitchen,i do alot of baking,I use this for egg washing on my pastry, i even use to spread out spices while seasoning my chicken, i use it for the last barbeque sauce spreading on hot stuff, sometime i dont feel comfortable using the rubberlike one that i have,,I also use to dust out excess powder sugar on fondant ,being using for a year plus now,

Love this pastry brush! So versatile and so many uses. Great for brushing on an egg wash, sauces, or sealing the edges of pastries. The bristles are firm, yet flexible, and the handle has a sturdy construction. Recommended product.

This pastry brush has held up much better than the expensive pastry brushes that I have purchased at expensive kitchen stores. I will be ordering more of these on my next order. You won't beat this price anywhere.

This is a good quality brush. The bristles have not fallen out, like many lesser quality brushes do. And there is nothing to rust, so no worries there. Since the bristle stiffness is perfect, I can use this to brush excess flour from delicate pastries, or to egg wash breads. Would definitely buy again.

A number of restaurant supply stores sell other brands of pastry brushes that are uneven and kind of rough looking, and we are talking brands with huge national recognition that are incredibly expensive. I saved 50 percent and received a higher quality brush that works like a dream and had that even appearance I was looking for. This is worth every penny.

The 2" Boar Bristle Pastry Brush is a good buy. The brush is sturdy, and the bristles are firmly attached. I would highly recommend it.

Love this brush. It can get into the nooks and crannies of an intricate braided bread, tart shell, or lattice work on top of a pie without damaging the dough or leaving marks. Clean it gently and dry thoroughly, and it will last for a long time.

I have owned a set of these for about a month now an have had no problems with them whatsoever. They cleanup very nicely and are very delicate in brushing. I suppose for the price, if they do ever give me any trouble I can cheaply order a new set.
Andrew L. from The Pie Kitchen Posted on 10/17/2012
This is a pretty decent pastry brush. If you use it a lot the bristles start to fall out. But I guess that is to be expected anyways.
Tom M. Posted on 04/02/2012
This pastry brush is ok. In the time that I have used it, it is very effective. The only problem I have found is that the bristles can easily fall out.
Sebastian S. Posted on 11/21/2011
This is a great brush at a great price. I own three of these. Perfect for making garlic bread, absorbs a lot of butter, and cleans up well.

This is a great inexpensive brush, good for many different tasks! Great for pastry work but even better for basting meats or brushing a thick reduction on a plate for presentation!
Eric K. Posted on 07/11/2011
I am up and down about these brushes. All the ones I have purchased have fallen apart in a couple of months or less. BUT, I did use them everyday, and they are relatively cheap.
Patrick R. from great gardens cafe Posted on 05/17/2011
Like all the brushes offered on this site, this is high quality and made of boar bristle. I have used a few plastic brushes before, and the bristles stick together and don't coat evenly. T

We changed our menu and added several things that we needed a pastry brush, this was the perfect brush for basting our chicken breasts on the grill
