Used the 2" Boar Bristle Pastry Brush to wipe butter all over tortilla. Easily melted the butter, then dabbed the brush into the butter and was easily able to smother the butter all over the tortilla. Great gadget.

Excellent pastry brush. Solid construction, strong bristle hold, good balance in the hand. Effectively distributes liquid onto desired product. Bristles are soft enough so that delicate application is no problem.

I use the heck out of these and they hold up very well. For the price, it can't be beat. The bristles stay in tact, it's easy to clean as long as you don't let stuff cake into it, and they are durable. I bought three last year and use them a crazy amount, and just recently the first one came lose from the base. For the price, I'll take 3/4 of a year of every day use any day of the week.

This is a handy, quick and easy tool to butter rolls. This allows you to put as much butter on anything you want. It is lightweight which makes it easy to handle. At the end of the handle is a convenient hole for storing.

These are nice brushes that hold up well. We usually use them for soaking cakes or brushing egg wash on croissants. They do not hold up well to heat though- i had an employee burn the tips while brushing oil on a hot griddle.

This is a nice pastry brush. Use it regularly for egg washing breads and pastries. Also use it to soak cakes with syrups. It is nice and flexible but holds together nicely. I don't worry about stray bristles floating around in my soaking liquids.

Nice medium wide brush that coats lots of surface area and is fairly durable. These do not hold up well under heat though, be sure to get the silicone ones if that's what you need.

I purchased this boar bristle brush after doing a ton of research. In my quest to have a sturdy brush that didn't shed its bristles on my cake and, even worse, when prepping my pan, I found that boar bristles are less likely to do just that. So far so good. I've not seen any hairs come out even after washing. Perfect!

It's a pastry brush. No frills. It loses bristles from early on as most of them do, even though we always hand wash and air dry. Still, nothing unexpected. Will continue to use.

Soaks up washes and oils well, I like the natural bristle better than synthetic, great for breads, pastries, and even chicken. A little maintenance and bristles should last long time...don't soak in liquids up to the handle, and make sure to wash and air dry

These two inch brushes are the perfect size for my pastry. Always wanted a great sheen to your pastry, an even egg-wash is key. With these they really hold on to the liquid and give things an even coat.

This brush is good for finer detailed jobs. I use a silicon brush for things like coating confections with chocolate, but this brush works great when you don't want to leave any "lines." I did notice that after time it starts to lose bristles, but this happened with our last set, which had gone through the dishwasher many times (I now know NOT to do that). Hand wash and air dry, and it will last much longer.
