    These boards are the perfect size for a 8" chefs knife. If you can lay your knife at a diaganol and have a few inches on either side you are good to go. They don't slife and are heavy duty and as an added bonus, I can throw them in the dishwasher. Occasionally they slide around and a wet paper towel remedies that,..They will last you for years. Even compared to wood, I find these pretty fast to work on and love the heft. Bigger than an 8" chefs knife, you might have issues but I haven't yet.

    This board provides a nice, generous work surface with just enough texture to prevent foods from slipping. Red boards are used exclusively for prepping meat to lessen the probability of cross-contamination.

    These boards are perfect. Not too thick, meaning that they are not too heavy. They have a mini criss cross design on them that makes them more knife friendly (easy on the blade's edge.) A strange thing I noticed is they take longer to dry, but maybe it's my imagination.

    I love this cutting board for the fact that it is red. We use red items in our kitchen to recognize gluten-free items. I also have a red handled mercer knife to go with it.

    Great cutting board with a great price. This board does not warp or get deep knife grooves. The board washes up well, and I love the color choices to prevent cross contamination.
