Customer questions about this product
- Is this wooden-handled utensil dishwasher safe?
- Utensils with wooden handles are not dishwasher safe; exposure to hot water can cause the wood to warp or splinter. These items should be hand washed and dried thoroughly. For optimal results, use a wood conditioner periodically to prolong the life of the wood.

I have the 19.5" hammered shovel as well, which is a nice utensil but the handle moves some due to its steel pin design. This shovel handle fits snugly and feels very solid. It is a natural fit for a 14" or 16" wok. The joints are sturdy. when I push against the wok, the wok gives before the shovel does. It flips ingredients well and clears a wok fast when you need to shovel the finished ingredients out.

Perfect fit for a 14" wok! Long metal handle prevents wok from burning wood handles. Handle is welded on to shovel very well to prevent failure after years of use like utensils that are only riveted on. Has held up well to years of use!

A much more impressive tool than I thought it would be. We have three different styles of woks. One looks a little more like a squat pot shape, and this shovel worked well with all three. Nice.

A must have for traditional wok cooking. My only complaint is that the wooden handle is only held in place with tension, so it has slipped out on occasion (a problem I remedied with a little drill and screw).

Great tool for any wok cook. The curved end of the shovel allows you to scrape out a wok to the point where it is almost perfectly clean. I love it for cooking and serving from a wok.

This is an okay product, kind of hard to use. Handle is a bit too long for my liking although you can't beat the price

The shovel is exactly what you would expect it to be. The craftsmanship is sound and the use of the shovel in a wok is way better than trying to use a wooden spoon or a spatula. If you have a wok, I highly recommend this.

For a tool so basic, this is very effective for moving food around the wok. It's very thin, but not sharp so you can lift even the thinnest vegetables. Don't worry if the wooden bit comes out - just re-insert it, turn in over, and hit it hard against the counter. This tends to lodge it in very well.

The hammered shovel is essential for cooking in a wok. the metal shovel is connected to the wooden handle with a rivet. The rounded edge is perfect to scraping the sides of a wok.

Great item! I use it as a Jambalaya spoon in my 15 gallon cast iron pot and it works great. New favorite item! Really like the wood handle as it keeps it cool to the touch and fits my hand.
