This is the mother of all cleavers, it's more like an AX, it made quick work of beef and chicken bones. It's really heavy and not for dainty wrists, I need a few more of these but smaller that everyone at the house can handle, I'm going to keep this one for special occasions, can't find a better cleaver for the money either.

Wow. I knew it was going to be a massive and sturdy cleaver but still had a shock when I saw it. It heavy and makes easy work of bones and all but my only dislike is that it doesn't have a full tang which is why I give it 4 stars. However, at that price, it's a no brainer.

This thing is a beast! breaks through rib and back joints with ease. good weight, awesome price, stainless, durable, and really a solid work horse.

Beastly! Pound for pound, this cleaver is a formidable tool and value (and weapon, in a pinch). The scale of it is enormous, suited for a giant mitt at 17" in total length. ** Note: listed weight is incorrect- actual weight is less than described, a significant error.**

Thanks for letting us know, we have updated our site with the correct weight. It weighs a little over 2 pounds.
