Sometimes, synthetic is better than natural. Wooden brushes tend to lose their grip on the bristles and eventually come undone. These plastic ones work better than the boars head in my opinion.

This pastry brush works very well. It is a great brush for applying an egg wash to pastries and also works well for cleaning off fondant and gum paste decorations.

This product meets the needs of my business. It is solidly constructed and cleans up easily. It's the perfect size for me as I have smaller hands, but I'm guessing anyone could use it just fine.

This brush works exceptionally well for spreading melted butter or egg wash over food surfaces. The bristles don't absorb much or fall off easily, and it's much better quality than I expected.

This is a great size pastry brush and unlike silicone options that don't hold very much liquid, this brush captures a lot of liquid in its bristles minimizing how many times you need to dip and repeat.

Bristles are too long and floppy for my intended use but overall is is a good pastry brush. Easy to clean and use but just not ideal for my project I had in mind.

Used the 1 1/2" Nylon Bristle Pastry Brush to smother butter all over homemade tortilla. The brush made the job so easy. Arrived very fast and was neatly wrapped in plastic. Great purchase.

I have used this pastry brush primarily to brush on an egg wash for challah bread and it has been great. It brushes on smooth and easy. The nylon bristles are easy to clean and maintain their shape well.

These nylon brushes to well under no heat applications. Worse than the boar hair for heat applications though, they curl up at the first sight of a flame.

We use this brush every day to brush to brush hot butter on hot dinner rolls as they are coming out of the oven. Yummy!

I really have decided that I prefer these nylon bristle brushes to the natural bristles - as you don't get the occasional stray bristle coming loose into whatever you are preparing. These brushes are great - easy to clean, feel good in hand, etc

I find this pastry brush to be superior to the natural bristle brushes I have been using in the past. These clean up pretty well in the dishwasher, although a thorough shake through some soapy water first helps remove stubborn oil.

Every kitchen needs a few pastry brushes. This one holds up extremely well to the rigors of kitchen life and can be washed in the dishwasher.

Nylon Bristle Pastry Brush is a great buy for brushing pastries with eggwash. I love the nylon bristles since those are easy to clean and stay longer.

I purchased this pastry brush to brush butter on bread before / after baking. It's a great little brush and the price is amazingly low for such a nice quality brush. I would definitely recommend this product to friends and family.

I needed a brush that I could designate just for egg wash. I had trouble with other kinds falling apart after a while. So far it's working great!

The many bristles on this brush make it great for less-viscous liquids (such as melted butter or warm syrup). It also works well with products with a paste consistency.

I use this pastry brush mainly for my Italian tri color cookies, I paint the chocolate on them and it works great!! I also use this to brush egg wash on items

You can never have too many pastry brushes. This one works great by absorbing the butter or egg wash and transferring it to the roll or pastry. Cleaning is easy as well.

Good brush but be aware keep it cool. I put it in my dishwasher (very hot water) and did not stand the heat. Brush got damaged.

The nylon bristles in this pastry brush are holding up well with no bristle loss and are easier to clean then traditional brushes. The bristles also hold liquid well. Good brush!

I have always hated pastry brushes, they are just nasty. Not this one. It never sheds, I wash it in the dishwasher so I never feel like it's dirty (like I always did with the old ones) what attracts dirt faster than grease? I am gonna put another one on my wish list as a back up because I need an Heir and a Spare!

This brush is a very nice tool...It is staying new we use it for basting and putting oil on the breads for the grilled sandwiches..

I love this brush! We've had bad brushes before where after the bristles were rinsed/cleaned, some of the bristles came loose & broke off in a customer's garlic bread. These don't do that! We now use them for putting olive oil & basil pesto on pizza and they work really well.
