The Edlund G-2 (G2) is similar to a #2 manual can opener, but has an easy, take-apart design and is NSF certified. The G-2 is nickel-plated with a stainless steel shaft, and regular cleaning of this opener will prolong the life of the unit. It is recommended that the G-2 be used to open no more than 15 cans daily. It is normal for metal-to-metal friction to eventually cause knives and gears to wear, so inspect and change the knives and gears of the G-2 regularly. Replacement knife under item #333K070SP and gear under item #333G011SP are also available.
